Welcome to the MOMS Club of West Los Angeles!
MOMS Club of West LA is a chapter of International MOMS Club. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for moms and kids who live within the chapter boundaries* to meet, build a supportive community and participate in a variety of different outings. Activities include service events (as we greatly value giving back to our community), baby-friendly hikes, zoo adventures, backyard BBQs, park playdates and more. Both stay-at-home and working moms are welcome.
*Chapter boundaries* (as set by the national organization) include zip codes 90025 and 90064 east of the 405; 90034 and 90035 west of La Cienega.
How we get together:
Members get together several times during the month rotating during the week, on weekends, and evenings (depending on the host's schedule). Past events have included home and park playdates, fire and police station tours, splash pads, hiking excursions, evening mom-only service events benefiting local high schools, mom-only happy hours, whole family weekend events, and much more!
How we give back to the community:
We are dedicated to giving back to the community as well as helping to foster a sense of gratitude within our children. Club members sponsor four service projects each year ranging from donation drives, such as collecting diapers and school supplies, to beach/park clean-ups. We also offer several smaller service playdates (create placemats for Meals on Wheels customers, make "gratitude" rocks, make chew toys for animals in shelters, etc.).
How we build community:
This is a club for moms by moms. All the work that goes into the club is on a volunteer basis and everyone helps out how and when they can. We also have a private Facebook group where moms can ask for recommendations, advice, and even ask anonymous questions.
