Our chapter of the national MOMS Club was founded in 2017 to build a community of amazing moms and kids.
Our club is for moms who reside in zip codes 90025 and 90064 east of the 405; 90034 and 90035 west of La Cienega. The boundaries of our chapter are determined by the International MOMS Club. Although most of our activities are within or close to our club jurisdiction, we sometimes schedule events outside the boundaries.
A SHORT HISTORY OF MOMS® CLUB
The first chapter of the International MOMS Club was founded in 1983 by Mary James, a stay-at-home mom in California who was tired of being home alone. Hoping to meet other at-home mothers and children, she soon discovered that there were no organizations that met during the day and which provided activities for both moms and kids alike. So, she decided to start a new organization just for stay-at-home moms and their little ones, and thus, the MOMS Club was born! (Our Chapter is for both Working & At-Home Moms.)
As a local chapter of the national MOMS Club, we are asked to have one service project annually, but our chapter loves giving back to the community and try to host at least one service project a season (total of four a year).
We enjoy getting together with our kids and give back to the community – it’s a great way for us to get to know one another and our kids to play while we do some good.
